How to select a suitable Painting Brush?

There are many different material of brush hair: Synthetic Hair, Hog Bristle Hair, Pony Hair, Goat Hair, Sable Hair, Squirrel Hair and so on.

Oil painting need stiff brush hair with good elastic, like Hog Bristle Hair, Synthetic Hair and Sable Hair.

Watercolor painting need soft brush hair with good absorption, like Pony Hair, Goat Hair, Sable Hair and Squirrel Hair.

Acrylic painting usually use Synthetic Hair.

Sometimes people mix different brush hair together, to get a combination ability, like good absorption with good elastic,

Squirrel Hair mix with Synthetic Hair will be a good choice.

1. Round Shape:

Detail, wash, fills, thin to thick lines.

2. Liner Shape:

Lettering, highlighting, outlining, and long,

Continuous strokes.

3. Flat Shape:
